  • Look for the hidden sugars in foods by reading food labels
  • Any ingredient that ends in ‘OSE’ is a sugar
  • Dried fruit is high in sugar and can stick to teeth. Serve it at meal times only.
  • Milk and water are the only safe drinks for teeth
  • Keep all other drinks to meal times only
  • Fruit juice is a good source of vitamin C which can help
    with the absorption of iron. However it is high in sugar and acid and can cause dental decay. It should be served at mealtimes only and well diluted.
